Donovan Andrews is an illustrator, designer, and creative director based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Raised among the Green Mountains and Champlain Valley of Vermont, he developed an early appreciation for art and creativity inspired by the natural beauty of his home state. Donovan later graduated from Marywood University with a BFA in Design, specializing in Illustration.
A printmaker, painter, and accomplished digital artist, Donovan brings more than 30 years of experience in creative direction, logo and identity design, children’s, editorial, and product illustration, as well as paper goods, stationery, home office products, surface pattern design for fabric, and baby, home, and bath textiles.
Some of Donovan’s earliest and most cherished memories are of weekly trips to the local library with his mother. After story time, he would return home with more picture books than his small arms could carry. Those books sparked his lifelong love of reading and art. Later, his father—an accomplished draftsman—taught him to draw. Tucked away somewhere in the Andrews family archives is a drawing of a horse: the very first piece they created together.
